Description
Neurotrophin 3 is a member of a family of neurotrophic factors, that is closely related to both nerve growth factor and brain derived neurotrophic factor. These proteins are involved in the maintenance of the adult nervous system and affect development of neurons in the embryo when it is expressed in human placenta. NT3 deficient mice generated by gene targeting display severe movement defects of the limbs.
Immunogen
An amino acid sequence from the middle region of human Neurotrophin 3 (TVLGEIKTGNSPVKQY) was used as the immunogen for this Neurotrophin 3 antibody (100% homologous in human, mouse and rat).
Storage
After reconstitution, the Neurotrophin 3 antibody can be stored for up to one month at 4oC. For long-term, aliquot and store at -20 deg. Celcius or lower. Cycles of freezing and thawing can denaturate the peptide chains of the antibodies and reduce their sensitivity and/or change their affinity. Prepare aliqotes in such a manner so that freeze-thaw cycles are minimized. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Properties
If you buy Antibodies supplied by NJS poly they should be stored frozen at - 24°C for long term storage and for short term at + 5°C.
