Description

Neuron Specific Enolase, also called Gamma-enolase, and Enolase 2 (ENO2) has neurotrophic and neuroprotective properties on a broad spectrum of central nervous system (CNS) neurons. Binds, in a calcium-dependent manner, to cultured neocortical neurons and promotes cell survival (By similarity). [UniProt]

Immunogen

A portion of amino acids 6-32 from the human protein was used as the immunogen for this NSE antibody.

Storage

Aliquot the NSE antibody and store frozen at -20 deg. Celcius or lower. Cycles of freezing and thawing can denaturate the peptide chains of the antibodies and reduce their sensitivity and/or change their affinity. Prepare aliqotes in such a manner so that freeze-thaw cycles are minimized.

Properties

If you buy Antibodies supplied by NJS poly they should be stored frozen at - 24°C for long term storage and for short term at + 5°C.
