ELISA kit description
GENTAUR's human KLK8 ELISA test is a ready to use ELISA kit. We use a monoclonal from mouse specific for KLK8 was used as capure antibodies on the ELISA test plate. The internal standards (NSO, Q29-G260) and your samples are measured with a biotin conjugated polyclonal from goat specific for KLK8 will than be washed with PBS. The colour reaction with TMB on HRP will colour the well from blue to yellow with the stop solution. The more human KLK8 in your sample the higher the ELISA signal will be compared to this elisa's standard curve.

How the elisa works
Sample the amount of 100ul/well of the standard solution at 10000pg/ml, 5000pg/ml, 2500pg/ml, 1250pg/ml, 625pg/ml, 312pg/ml, 156pg/ml human KLK8 standard solutions into the precoated 96-well plate. Add 0.1ml of the sample diluent buffers into the control well (Zero well). Add 0.1ml of each properly diluted sample of human cell culture supernatant, cell lysate, tissue homogenates, serum or plasma(heparin, EDTA) to the ELISA plate. Keep in mind that each human KLK8 standard solution and each sample be measured in duplicate.

Kallikrein-8 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the KLK8 gene. Kallikreins are a subgroup of serine proteases having diverse physiological functions. Growing evidence suggests that many kallikreins are implicated in carcinogenesis and some have potential as novel cancer and other disease biomarkers. This gene is one of the fifteen kallikrein subfamily members located in a cluster on chromosome 19. Alternate splicing of this gene results in four transcript variants encoding four different isoforms. The isoforms exhibit distinct patterns of expression that suggest roles in brain plasticity and ovarian cancer.
