Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay based on the Double-antibody Sandwich method for detection of Rat Neuropeptide Y Receptor Y2 (NPY2R) in samples from Tissue homogenates and other biological fluids. with no significant corss-reactivity with analogues from other species. This is a cost efficient bulk pack of 5 plates of 96 wells each, conveniently packed along with the other reagents in 5 separate kits to avoid unsealing the plates and reagents that won't be immediately used.
Detection range: 0.156-10ng/mL; Sensitivity: < 0.054ng/mL; Species reactivity: Rattus norvegicus (Rat)
Known also as Neuropeptide Y Receptor Y2 elisa. Alternative names of the recognized antigen: NPY-Y2 receptor
Transported on ice packs/blue ice. Keep refrigerated at 2-8 degrees Celsius. Shelf life: 6 months.

Rats are used to make rat monoclonal anti mouse antibodies. There are less rat- than mouse clones however. Rats genes from rodents of the genus Rattus norvegicus are often studied in vivo as a model of human genes in Sprague-Dawley or Wistar rats.
The receptors are ligand binding factors of type 1, 2 or 3 and protein-molecules that receive chemical-signals from outside a cell. When such chemical-signals couple or bind to a receptor, they cause some form of cellular/tissue-response, e.g. a change in the electrical-activity of a cell. In this sense, am olfactory receptor is a protein-molecule that recognizes and responds to endogenous-chemical signals, chemokinesor cytokines e.g. an acetylcholine-receptor recognizes and responds to its endogenous-ligand, acetylcholine. However, sometimes in pharmacology, the term is also used to include other proteins that are drug-targets, such as enzymes, transporters and ion-channels.
