Antigen background

GPCR GPR136, also known as Opsin 5, is a member of the guanine nucleotide binding protein (G protein) coupled receptor superfamily. This gene belongs to the seven exon subfamily of mammalian opsin genes that includes peropsin (RRH) and retinal G protein coupled receptor (RGR). Like these other seven exon opsin genes, this gene may encode a protein with photoisomerase activity. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms. ESTs for the GPR136 gene have been identified from human normal testis and B cell/lung/testis libraries..

Purification method

This antibody was purified via Protein A.

Properties

If you buy Antibodies supplied by Bioss Primary Conjugated Antibodies they should be stored frozen at - 24°C for long term storage and for short term at + 5°C.Biotin conjugates can be detected by horseradish peroxidase, alkaline phosphatase substrates or anti biotin conjugated antibodies. Avidin and Streptavidin bind to the small biotin and are couple to HRP or AP for ELISA. To break the streptavidin Biotin bond we suggest to use a 6 molar guanidine HCl solution with acidity of pH 1.6.
